Sept. 18, 2011

This will be my attempt to keep in touch with family & friends while I am a lone man in Arizona. Hopefully there will be some entertaining content. And edumacational content. And thought revoking. Convoking. Evoking.

Last Monday the water was shut off at the rental house where I am staying. It didn't get turned back on until Friday. Then, in the middle of the night last night, the power was turned off. I wonder if this place is actually a foreclosed crack house. And the bank that owns the property doesn't realize there are occupants. Hmmm. I am beginning to look for another place pronto.

So, I really like it in AZ. It's a great melting pot--sort of reminds me of Hawaii that way. People of every color, shape, size, and ethnic persuasion. People with neck tattoos. People who shouldn't wear spandex. A far from boring place.

My first Sunday here, I drove out to the Mesa Temple.
If I was a Kiwi, I would call it a Teemple of course.

A lovely place set in an older, sort of dumpy part of
Mesa. I hear there is a great Christmas Pagent that
is put on here each year. Or is is Easter? Hmmm.

Well then, I will try to get some other photos uploaded in the next day or three.
